An Evening with an Artist - Tom Lyford

May's guest artist: Poet Tom Lyford . Tom achieved got his B.S. degree in Education (English major, history minor) from Farmington State College in ’68 and served as a high school English teacher for thirty-four years. In retirement, Tom works as a library clerk in Dover-Foxcroft. His writings often lean toward the humorous and the nostalgic. He has been published in Bangor Metro, Off the Coast, Wolf Moon Press Journal, Up North, Nerve Cowboy, The Bangor Daily News, and Maine Taproot: An Anthology of Verse. He’s published five poetry chapbooks, two anthologies, and two humorous memoirs.

Tom will be presenting his thoughts on poetry, reading selected poems, and follow up with a question and answer period.
