About the Event
CONTEST RULES: Contestants to pay $10/pumpkin and must arrive between 1-5 pm Oct 20 with their own carving utencils (no power tools), with pumpkin(s) already gutted, dried, and prepared for carving. Contestants must register/pay upon entrance and will have exactly one hour to complete their carving. All carvings must be completed by 6 pm. Judging will begin at 6:30 pm and will be based on originality, level of detail, and overall carving skills. Contestants not to be present for judging. Winner’s names will be announced before 8 pm on October 20 via the Guilford Bed and Breakfast website (guilfordbnb.com) and Facebook page. One carver per pumpkin. One contestant may register to carve a second pumpkin only upon completion of the first. A photo of each contestant and their carved pumpkin must be taken before leaving. Carved pumpkins to remain at the Guilford Bed and Breakfast.
