  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the first evening booked may receive a full refund, minus a $20 processing fee. Cancellations received 7 to 13 days prior to the first evening booked will incur a 50% charge of the total reservation cost. No refund for cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the first evening booked. EXCEPTION: If reserving through booking.com, guests will be charged 50% of the total price per cancellation (after a 4-hour grace period). Guests failing to show will be charged the full reservation price.
  • Is there a curfew?
    We don’t have a curfew here as we expect our guests to be responsible and respectful of others during their stay. Guests typically receive a key upon check-in (3-7 pm) so they can come and go as needed with the understanding that they will lock the door behind them and if returning late, will be quiet to avoid waking other guests.
  • Do you recycle?
    Yes, there are certain beverage cans and bottles that are recyclable in our area and we take advantage of that service regularly. Guests will not find "recycle" bins in our public areas because we handle all that behind the scenes for them.
  • Is it customary to tip when staying at a bed and breakfast?
    Some guests choose to tip to show their appreciation for little details that make them feel extra-special during their stay. Specifically, when guests have special requests that require the host to go out of their way to accommodate, it is customary - but not required - to tip.
  • Why is there a check-in time?
    Bed and Breakfasts normally have specific check-in times where the host is available to personally welcome guests because we do not have 24-hour staff on duty 24/7. Remember this is our home as well as a Bed and Breakfast, so if you cannot arrive during our check-in time (3 pm - 7 pm), please contact us immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your extension request, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. If we do not hear from guests by 9:00 pm on the check-in day, they forfeit their reservation and the doors will be locked.
  • Do you have any guest rooms on the first floor?
    Unfortunately, no. This is a historic home and all four guest rooms are located on the second floor. One additional guest room is located on the third floor.
  • Can you accommodate guest pets?
    Sadly, we cannot accommodate guest pets at this time as our dog, Snickers, lives on the premises and has the run of the B&B. He is a self-appointed guest greeter and our very own security advisor.
  • Do you offer transportation to and from the Bangor airport?
    Unfortunately, not at this time.
  • How strong is your WiFi?
    WiFi is free for our guests. Our fiber optics network connection has a download/upload speed of 50.2/46.1 mbps and the signals on all three floors are boosted using the Google Nest System.
  • Do you have air-conditioning?
    Guest bedrooms are equipped with window air conditioning units during summer months.
  • Do you have onsite parking for trailers?
    Yes, but please let us know in advance if this is the case.
  • What time is breakfast?
    We typically serve breakfast at 8:00 a.m. but we can offer as early as 7:00 a.m. and as late as 9:00 a.m. to accommodate guest schedules. For guests who must leave before 7:00 a.m., we can offer a special Grab-N-Go breakfast provided we have a 24-hour notice.
  • Do you have a refrigerator available for guest use?
    There is an under-the-counter refrigerator in the front foyer and a mini-fridge on the second floor under the Keurig station. Both units are shared by other guests so please bare this in mind should you need to refrigerate something.
  • Is ice available?
    We are happy to provide you with an ice bucket upon request. We also have wine bottle openers and wine glasses for you to use as needed - just ask. If you are looking to fill your cooler, there is a convenient gas station nearby.
  • Do you have on-site laundry services?
    For those staying with us three nights or more, we can offer an onsite laundry service (wash/dry/fold). Alternatively, you may choose to use the public laundry facility located at the Red Maple, a two-minute drive away.
  • Do you have a microwave available for guest use?
    Yes, it is located in the front foyer.
